ComboBox Enhancement: Filtering Support

Now you can offer an even better user experience when creating interfaces for selecting multiple options from a dropdown list. The newly added filtering support in Telerik UI for .NET MAUI ComboBox improves usability by enabling a fast and intuitive search and selection of options from a large set of data. You can toggle matching options highlighting on and off and customizе the default filtering behavior.

CollectionView Enhancements: Multiple New Features

With the 2024 Q3 release, we’re shipping the Telerik UI for .NET MAUI CollectionView with a ton of new features to handle all essential usage scenarios. Newly added functionality includes:

• Header and footer templates to position content above and below the list of items
• Drag and drop functionality that can be used for item reordering
• Manual and automatic load-on-demand functionality used for loading large data sets
• Grid Layout: An option to visualize items into rows or columns
• Item swipe functionality that provides the ability to perform specific actions on the item

The component is now almost at parity with the Telerik UI for .NET MAUI ListView and we recommend that you start using the CollectionView in future projects and consider migrating the .NET MAUI ListView to CollectionView.

Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code Scaffoldings

Boost your productivity with the newly launched Telerik UI for .NET MAUI Scaffolding screens and pages. Find them in the Telerik UI for .NET MAUI extensions for Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code. Use the scaffoldings to quickly add predefined pages and screens to your .NET MAUI application and further configure the pages by using the exposed settings.

The Telerik UI for .NET MAUI extensions are available in the Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code Marketplace.

• Document Processing Libraries (DPL) Enhancements:
  • PdfProcessing: With 2024 Q3, the PdfProcessing now support annotations of type StrikeOut, Stamp, Popup, Text and Highlight along with capability to handle documents with mismatched font Subtype and FontFile type.
  • SpreadProcessing: Support for SVG images is introduced with 2024 Q3 release as well as ability to handle importing and reading of cached formula value when the formula contains external references.
  • WordsProcessing: Support for SVG images is introduced with 2024 Q3 release as well as support for exporting text with a strikethrough to PDF.
