GraphQL Data Source

NEW

• Q1 2025 introduces the GraphQLDataSource component, which allows the user to retrieve data from GraphQL APIs. The Standalone Report Designer has a dedicated wizard with intuitive step by step instructions that guide through the process of creating or editing the data source.

Raw data view and export

NEW

• Report data items and their data sources now allow to download the data they're bound to. This feature lets users quickly verify data accuracy and gain deeper insights into the underlying information. Available in desktop designers and WinForms report viewer.

Report Server for .NET now has a new Server Agents view in the Configuration panel

• The view facilitates the management and configuration of multiple server agents on other machines. It provides immediate visual feedback about agents' health due to the SignalR connection used for communication.

• Starting with 2025 Q1, all users of the Telerik and Kendo UI components and tools will need to apply a valid license key file to both new and existing projects. For details, see our Licensing Documentation.
• For improved performance, the data fields operations are done using invariant culture string comparison. The behavior can be controlled from the AllowCultureDependentDataFieldNames configuration property.
• Hosting Report Server in iframe is only allowed on same origin.

• Standalone Report Designer's Query Builder does not work when it is connected to Report Server for .NET.

• Report Server does not perform server-side validation of encryption keys when they are overwritten.

Report Server .NET

• Storage created with RS .NET Framework cannot be used in RS .NET.
• Extend Report Server Migration UI with option to select the target storage kind.
• Storage version is different for Report Server .NET and Report Server .NET Framework.
• Console error on password reset page "Uncaught TypeError: Cannot set properties of undefined (setting 'unobtrusive')".
• "Failed to load resource" error is thrown when trying to preview a shelved report.
• Scheduling task execution is not working after upgrade of the server.

Server .NET REST API

• "Error while logging to server. Please check the server URI and credentials" error is thrown when trying to connect from Standalone Report Designer.

Server Manager .NET

• Report is reloaded in the viewer when toggle search button is clicked the first time.
• Preview button is not stylized with the theme primary button color (accent color).
• Overlapping error windows are shown in Configuration panel when trying to save EntraID with invalid details.
• Reverting to a report revision doesn't refresh the Reports information shown in the data grid.
• Redundant option for selecting preferred language is displayed on Designer panel in Configuration view.
• Report viewer does not display the checkbox of a boolean report parameter.

• Report's AutoRun property is not present in Properties panel.

• Missing client-side input fields validations in Configuration > Authentication page.
• An encryption key can be uploaded as both master and backup key.
